BLOODLINE TATTOO HYGIENE

Hygiene is Paramount

Here at the Bloodline Tattoo Studio in Phuket, our client’s safety and experience is of the greatest importance. We never want a customer to come here for world class tattooing and leave with anything less. We operate under strict safety protocols and standards and have employees with tertiary qualifications in Australian Work Health & Safety. That are modeled specifically after the Australian standards and regularly audited and reviewed to ensure we are leading the way in our hygiene and safety practices.

We use only the highest constitution of disposable tattoo equipment and take no shortcuts on costs meaning inks are never re-used and are all imported to guarantee the utmost quality. We have established a reputation of a market leader in this space and refuse to sacrifice quality for price at any time. We have a qualified Work Place Trainer and Assessor by Australian Tertiary Standards and ensure all our staff are trained with the most up to date methods, practices and standards and maintain a highly sterile environment at all times without exception.

Safe, Sterile Environment

When a customer enters our studio to get a tattoo, we want them to be assured that everything that we can be possibly done to keep them safe is being done so. After all, they want their tattoo to look amazing, and be everything they had hoped for and more.

That is why we completely disinfect all equipment even that used outside of the disposable needles and grips. Covering all equipment with plastic, to further insure that contamination any point is absolutely impossible. This plastic covering is then replaced after each customer has left and before the next customer is even allowed within the premises of their tattoo area.
Each of our tattoo artists are careful to completely adhere to each and every one of our strict safety standards. These include never reusing needles, inks, or any other equipment from one customer to another. They always wash up using an automatic soap dispenser and then wearing a new seperate pair of rubber gloves before they start doing each and every different job.

Hygiene Standards and Best Practices

The following are the standards and best practices that we all strictly adhere to here at Bloodline Tattoo Studio:

  • Only use disposable needles – tubes – grips , and inks (Never reused)
  • All equipment is then covered with plastic and replaced after each session
  • Chairs/beds are covered with a plastic sheeting and is replaced after every session
  • Artists wash hands as well as using an automatic hand sanitizer dispenser. Followed by putting on fresh gloves before each session begins
  • All areas are thoroughly cleaned between each customer daily to ensure no contamination is possible

Our Customer Safety and Experience Comes First

BLOODLINE TATTOO AFTERCARE

After Getting a Tattoo

Now that you are done with the ordeal of getting your skin art applied to your body, it is absolutely necessary that you follow every and all of the aftercare procedures that your tattoo artist will go over with you before you leave. Your ability to follow all of the instructions carefully will be the difference between a positive experience, and a less than ideal result.
The number one concern during the healing process is to avoid any possibility of infection, this means both people and areas of very high likelihood of unsanitary practices. The other thing is that you keep is continuously moisturised in order to keep the colour up to standard without any chance of ink falling out. This is difference between keeping a tattoo looking just done, to being years old. The tattoo and surrounding area will be covered by a dressing that is applied carefully by the artist before you leave the studio. The average healing time for most newly applied tattoos is between 5 and 10 days, and their are several things that you really need to be aware of in order to protect your new body art. There a few things that you have to be absolutely sure you do within the first hour of getting a new tattoo; carefully clean it, liberally apply a anti bacterial moisturiser and keep it protected and unexposed to UVA/UVB rays of the sun.

One of the keys to aftercare is to remove any of the oozing blood platelets that normally form ahead of scabbing. You want to be sure to keep any scabs from forming over your tattoo, as this can lead to premature colour fading. By keeping it moisturised and protected from the sun you can almost certainly expect the vivid colours of your tattoo to shine bright and for years on end.

Things to absolutely avoid

  • Don’t use any bar soap to clean your tattoo
  • Don’t wash your tattoo using a washcloth, scrub brush or sponges
  • Don’t rub or scrape while drying, always pat dry
  • Don’t sunbathe or swim in chlorinated water (swimming pool or hot tubs)It is really important that you are very careful to avoid all of the things listed above throughout the entire healing process. Infection is one of the biggest fears when it comes to tattoo aftercare, as well as being sure that your hands are thoroughly cleaned before you start to apply moisturising cream to the recently tattooed skin.

Important things to remember to do

Applying a good moisturising cream several times a day will actually accomplish two very important things; by helping with the healing process; as well as promoting blood flow to tattooed skin area. In turn, helping it to further improve, rejuvenate, and heal the tattooed area. Keeping the skin thoroughly moist throughout the process. However, never put too thick of a coat of cream on the area, which can then be difficult to rub in and cause extra irritation to the skin, as well as clogging pores within the healing procedure.
